CADENCE/QUICKTURN WIN MAJOR PATENT AND TRADE SECRETS CASE AGAINST MENTOR

Algotronix was retained by Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP and provided expert witness testimony at trial on behalf of their client Cadence/Quickturn with regard to trade secrets. Algotronix also carried out prior art searches and provided expert reports and deposition testimony with regard to two Mentor patents originally asserted by Mentor which were ruled invalid by the court prior to the trial.

Xilinx and Altera Settle Patent Litigation

Algotronix provided deposition testimony as a fact witness for Xilinx in a patent case before the International Trade Commission. The case involved a patent on which Algotronix' founder Dr. Tom Kean was the inventor which had been asserted by Xilinx against Altera. Altera made a one time payment to Xilinx of $20M as part of a settlement agreement between the companies involving this and several other patent lawsuits.
